It Starts with a Story…
I’ve been writing for healing for more than a decade —long before I knew the words “trauma” or “therapist”. All I knew was that there was power in naming my pain and softness in storytelling. In 2015, I began writing poems and quotes to heal through my own personal struggle with relationship trauma and to unpack years of built-up emotion. After a year of cathartic writing and releasing my poems out into the social media void, I released my very first self-published book titled The Flowering Woman. I was surprised how quickly it grew to become a guide, a conversation, and a healing staple for women all over. From there, I released more words and works selling thousands of self-published books that gripped the hearts of readers. My writing led me to facilitating writing workshops for women as an avenue for healing. Eventually, the early journey of exploring words as healing balm, led me to have a curiosity about the clinical landscape of therapy.
So, I journeyed the path of becoming a licensed therapist — all with the rooted intention to return to my creative work, writing, and lifework more informed, more healed, and wiser. Now, as a licensed therapist, I hold a sacred calling to merge that side of my work with my innate creative abilities and to service women outside of just the clinical landscape. I hold a calling to nurture the process of women healing and becoming whether it be through written word, self-expression, or communal connection.
I believe healing happens in layers: through language, through relationship, and through the body’s own quiet wisdom. I bring all of that into my work—alongside clinical insight and deep care for the art of being a woman. I hope you will join with me in this work to explore your own healing of past trauma and into true transformation. See you in a writing workshop, on the page, on the podcast, or at a function. For the one who wants to do deep work in the sanctity of their own space, consider my journals, tools or digital resources for the journey. Thank you for being here.
